PREMIER EVENT: EGX 2018 – EU Regional Final
The Capcom Pro Tour 2018 season is winding down and this weekend we have the first of the year’s four Regional Finals! EGX 2018 – EU Regional Final is a Capcom Pro Tour Global Premier Event held in Birmingham, England from September 20th to 23rd.
A Regional Final works a bit differently than a standard Premier Event in that it’s really two events in one. On Friday and Saturday is the Regional Final Open Tournament that anyone can enter. Global and Regional Ranking Points will be awarded for top 48 placements. See the Rules page for full details.
On Sunday will be the Regional Final Tournament which will be composed of the top 8 players from the CPT Europe leaderboard! The winner of this event will be crowned the Regional Champion and will be awarded an automatic qualification for Capcom Cup 2018! Once again, see the Rules page for full details.
About EGX 2018 – EU Regional Final (From event’s Smashgg page)
The EU Regional Finals is two supercharged events in one. Friday and Saturday will play host to the EU Regional Open Tournament, an open Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition tournament that anyone can enter. Sunday is the EU Regional Finals, a showdown between the Top 8 players on the EU Leaderboard. The winner takes the EU Champion title and automatically qualifies for the Capcom Cup 2018!
